Truth has a line describing the Ark as a “shelter from Halo’s fire”. How he learnt, however, is never made clear. It doesn’t seem at any point in Halo 2 that he knows the truth, so it’s possible he learnt from Mendicant Bias’ fragment in between Halo 2 & 3. They need to bring back blue team and finish the story strong. Anyone who think Chiefs arc needs to end don't read the back story.
