No chugging in lower gears. The throttle has a much smoother feel like a carb bike. Also when you let off the throttle, since fuel cut has been disabled, the bike doesn't surge in deceleration, so up and down shifting is very smooth. The cost is around $150 each time. If I had known this I would have never bought the bike. I believe Yamaha should be responsible for this. I've had bikes since 1964 and have never had a motor that needed the valves adjusted every 4000 miles.
