But they are much heavier. And they don't bend like we like a rod to bend.very few (if any) of the nicer rods on the market are on solid blanks. Also if you have to undercast the shorter rods works best. I use the 300g rod 5'6" because the tip is lighter and gives more of a slingshot action to the rod tip. It has just a tad bit more capacity than the 10000 spool and is a lot lighter than the 18000. So far I am using the 14000 and 4000 SWB. I still have the SW 18000, 8000, and 4000XG..
